The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
