An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
